Frequently asked questions
Find the Right NDIS Provider
What is Find NDIS and how does it work?
Find NDIS is a smart concierge and directory service designed to take the stress out of finding available disability support. Instead of endlessly calling providers to check if they have waitlists, you simply tell us what you need, where you are, and how your funding is managed. Our automated system instantly matches your needs with 3 to 5 local providers who have confirmed they have immediate capacity.
How much does it cost to use Find NDIS?
Our matching service and directory are 100% free for NDIS participants, families, and carers to use.
Can I use Find NDIS regardless of how my funding is managed?
Yes! However, your management type dictates which providers we match you with:
- NDIA-Managed (Agency Managed): We will only match you with fully Registered NDIS Providers
- Plan-Managed or Self-Managed: We can match you with both Registered and Unregistered providers, giving you a wider variety of choices.
Do you share my personal contact details with everyone?
No. Your privacy is our priority. When you submit a request, providers only see your anonymous support requirements (e.g., "A 25-year-old in Sydney needs an Occupational Therapist"). Your name and contact details are securely locked and only released to a provider after they confirm they have the capacity to help you and accept the referral.
What happens after I am matched with a provider?
Once a provider accepts your match, they will be given your contact details. They will reach out to you directly (usually within 24 to 48 hours) to introduce themselves, answer your questions, and see if they are a good fit for you.
I am a Service Provider
How do I receive referrals and leads from Find NDIS?
Once you create a provider profile, you will become part of our smart-matching algorithm. When a participant's intake form aligns with your service type, location radius, and registration status, you will receive an instant email and SMS notification. You can log into your dashboard to review the anonymous lead and choose to accept it.
What information do I receive before deciding to accept a lead?
You will see the participant's required service (e.g., in-home care, speech pathology), their suburb, funding type, age group, urgency, and any specific cultural or language preferences. You will not see their identifying contact details until you click "Accept Lead."
Do I need to be an NDIS Registered Provider to join?
No. Both Registered and Unregistered providers are welcome on Find NDIS. However, if you are unregistered, our algorithm will strictly only match you with participants who are Self-Managed or Plan-Managed.
How does the system know if I have the capacity to take on new clients?
Through your Provider Dashboard, you can toggle your capacity status at any time (e.g., "Immediate Capacity", "Waitlist Only", "Full"). We prioritise sending live leads to providers who have actively indicated they have room for new clients, ensuring a great experience for the participant and highly relevant leads for you.
What if I am not happy with the providers I was matched with?
You are never under any obligation to hire a provider we connect you with. If the matches aren't the right fit, you can simply decline their services and submit a new request on our platform to see different options.

I am a Support Coordinator, LAC, or other Intermediary
Can I submit requests on behalf of multiple participants?
Yes. Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators (LACs), and Plan Managers can use Find NDIS to source providers for multiple clients. Our intake form allows you to easily input the specific needs of each individual participant on your caseload.
Who will the provider contact once a match is made — me or my client?
During the intake process, you can specify the "Primary Contact." If you prefer to handle the initial vetting, you can set yourself as the contact point. If you want the provider to reach out to the participant or their family directly, you can provide their details instead.
How does Find NDIS handle complex or highly specialised support needs?
Our progressive intake form allows you to filter by very specific requirements, such as language preferences, cultural needs (e.g., First Nations or CALD specialised providers), specific therapy disciplines, and gender preferences for support workers. The algorithm weights these criteria heavily when finding a match.
What happens if the automated system cannot find a match for my client?
If a client has highly specialised needs in a regional area and the algorithm yields zero immediate matches, it will trigger an alert to our internal support team. We will attempt to manually assist or notify you as soon as a suitable provider updates their capacity in that area.
